Supporting Healthy Skin

Facial acupuncture is a treatment that combines traditional acupuncture principles with modern understanding of skin physiology, facial musculature, and connective tissue. While many people seek facial acupuncture to support healthy skin aging or improve acne, treatment may also help address facial muscle tension, jaw discomfort, and tension-related headaches. Treatment plans are individualized and may combine acupuncture with red or blue light therapy to support specific treatment goals.

Treatment Considerations

Facial acupuncture is intended to support healthy skin and facial muscle function through a gradual process. It is not intended to replace cosmetic procedures such as injectable treatments or surgery.

Because changes in skin physiology occur gradually, treatment is typically recommended as a series rather than a single session.

For many patients, an initial course of weekly treatments for 6 to 10 weeks provides the best opportunity to evaluate response. The exact number of treatments depends on the condition being addressed, whether the focus is healthy skin aging, acne management, or facial muscle tension.
